CHAPTER XII C Discovering VALUE our hierarchy of values is an overarching system of all the assessments made by us. Irrespective of whether we are aware of our values or not, they are our inner guide and show us what we seek and what to avoid. Did you ever wondered what it is to you in life most important? Do you have clearly defined values? Regardless of your response sounds like you should know that your values have shaped the way you live today is how to dress, what music you listen to and what is your favorite car brand, is also the result of your inner values. Also, your work, hobbies and friends are the reflection of your most cherished values. Do you think that someone for whom the most important thing in life is an adventure may live in a similar way to people who value the security? I assure you that this is impossible. The person for whom the highest value is an adventure would probably not attach much weight to the stationary mode of life will often change jobs and move from place to place and most of the money will be spend on trips and entertainment. Completely contrary to the case will have someone who appreciates the most security. It will seek a permanent job in a large company that does give him a feeling of stability. Earned money will put it in the long-term bank deposits will be spending the holidays with family in the countryside. | | |
